Inquiry goes before the Home Affairs Select Committee
The session on 19 May will focus on how the independent inquiry is being set up, its scope, and how it plans to carry out its work. MPs are expected to question the Chair and Panel on the inquiry’s approach, independence, and how it will engage with victims, communities and stakeholders.

Home Secretary formally commences the Inquiry
The Secretary of State for the Home Department, the Rt Hon Shabana Mahmood MP, made a written statement to Parliament formally commencing the Statutory Independent Inquiry into Grooming Gangs.

Terms of Reference published and opening statement delivered
